Alethiometer Pocket Watch
A little project inspired by Danielle, who has created an alethiometer of her own.
This pocket watch is a bit of a hybrid between the movie and book alethiometers.
The book alethiometer (my favorite) is on the left. The movie alethiometer (still not bad!) is on the right:

My pocket watch uses the book symbols, but with the center gearing is more movie-esque. The watch is almost 2″ in diameter. The symbols were printed on a mother-of-pearl look card stock.
Here is my latest version with presentation box.




The box art is a wood burning of a flying hourglass. It seemed to fit a pocket watch. Tempus fugit and all that.
