Of Mysterious Boxes

Bruce Wright's Mysterious Box

A while back, a bunch of lucky individuals who blog like the dickens about Neil Gaiman received mysterious boxes filled with all kinds of goodies related to the movie Coraline.

I’m no stranger to the concept of mystery boxes having received and made (and currently making) some of my own. However, I’m in awe of the fantastic mystery box Bruce made for his wife — a misdirected package containing artifacts from the life of the late Nicolas Flamel.

Besides enjoying his excellent photos and story, I highly recommend you read Flamel’s journal.

I have never heard of such a thing but very cool idea. I’m surprised you didn’t get one.

I’m a little confused though, are they boxes used in the movies with promotional stuff and props inside? Or just replicas made by the crew?

Gosh, I would’ve loved to get one. Unfortunately, my site was up and down for a while due to a WordPress plugin issue.

The boxes appear to contain “props” from the movie — reference bits and such.
