I will confess that one of my favorite characters in the Harry Potter books is that of Bellatrix Lestrange. You just know when her kindergarten teachers were making their class lists and came upon her name they all pointed and said, “that one’s going to be bad.” A bit like in the movies with Voldemort’s wand resembling a human femur, you’d think someone might have thought the poor boy might need a bit of counseling.

The skull you see above is my interpretation of the pendant worn by Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix.
